Itinerary
Very early to the 04.30 a.m we left the cusco in a tourist bus deprived by the places of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving Mollepata, where will be roughly to the 07:00 am, to 2,880 masl., where will do a brief stop for breakfast, afterwards will have us to give start to our trek arriving until Gruzpata, We will follow with direction until Soraypampa, during the trek will be able to take beautiful photography of the snow-capped mountains that are in front. Finally when arriving to the camp will have, will dine it and will camp under the cleared starry sky where will be able to see a series of constellations between them the south Cross.
This day we continued our walk after a hearty breakfast, we start our trek to appreciate a variety of coca, considered the sacred leaf of our ancestors which is not cultivated in tropical areas where we will have many varieties of fruit, this last descent stretch will is the beach and from there take a shuttle towards Santa Teresa then up to Hydropower. In Hydropower start again our journey to get to Agua Caliente or you can take the train from Hydroelectric to Agua Caliente (optional service).Where we spend the night.
Around 7 am., after a typical breakfast we will get ready to continue exploring the roads that were followed by the first expeditionaries that discovered Machu Pichuand other important archaeological complex. The next journey will start in Santa Teresa. Those who reserved in advance will make the zipline (and later this group will be taken by bus to the area known as the hydroelectric), the rest of the group will continue the trek of 3 hrs. aprox. through the valley until reaching the hydroelectric too, where the entire group will get together again. Here we will enjoy of a great lunch. And after a break we will continue walking along this great inca jungle tour for 3 hrs., enjoying beautiful waterfalls, going through coca and coffee farms along the railway until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes around 4 pm. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we all will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu and the group will receive some snacks.
By the morning around the 04:30 am ascend to the majestic Inca city of Machu Picchu will visit accompanied by our guide approximately 2 hrs, and the rest of the day free can visit Huayna Picchu (Optional ), Inti Punku, Temple of the Moon or just visit once more the citadel, in the afternoon we return to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), depending on time our return train will release once you book your trip with our company, transfer to Ollantaytambo to the imperial city of Cusco.
